Getting Started
Introduction
Install HooKit, complete the Hook-writing tutorial, and find reusable policies.
HooKit allows defining Hooks to react to Pi Events. The Getting Started section takes you from installation to one working Hook, then points you to reusable policies.
- Installation installs HooKit globally
or for one trusted Pi project and verifies that
/hooksis available. - Write a hook guides you through a
dependency-free safety policy against a dummy
.envfile. Every step includes an expected result. - Explore the Hook library introduces stable Core Hooks and specialized HooKit Extras.
For work in an existing project, use Add a Hook to preserve configuration, validate, load, enable, and test your policy. If a Hook does not behave as expected, follow Troubleshooting.
Use Reference to look up the complete configuration contract and runtime behavior. Use Concepts to understand HooKit’s evaluation, composition, and security models.
Hook shells execute locally as trusted code. Read the security model before installing or authoring policies from an untrusted Source.
